    Hi WC fans,

Trying to figure out how to craft a formula that would allow flat rate shipping prices to be added every 3, 6, 9, 12, (multiples of 3) products added to cart.

My client sells bags of coffee and they can fit 3 in a shipping package. As an example:

1-3 bags of coffee in cart = $9 flat rate shipping
4-6 bags of coffee in cart = $18 flat rate shipping
    7-9 bags of coffee = $24

Make sense? So how can I craft a formula to be entered into the Flat Rate Settings cost field?

The dilemma is that if someone would like to purchase 4 bags or 5 bags. The price needs to double so that instead of paying for shipping once they pay twice. And so on for bags in quantities of 3.

    Many thanks for any help,
    Barry

Best way to achieve these is by using a plugin called Table Rate Shipping. In it you will have the option called Item Count. You’ll be good to go. It’s a great plugin and offers a lot of flexibility.

Ok thank you. I did see that but was not sure if that was exactly what was needed. Appreciate your help.
