I am using 2 plugins – Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Yoast SEO. Now, I am adding a custom field (text type) ‘Meta Description’ to one of the custom taxonomy – ‘Stores’.

Is there a way or Advanced Variables available that I can directly pull this custom field value into the Yoast – Titles & Metas Template for the Custom Taxonomy – ‘Stores’?

  • I also would like this…

That way my template metas can be far stronger in Google.

Yes, I’d also like to output values of custom fields that are under custom taxonomies in Yoast titles & metas. %%cf_<custom-field-name>%% only seems to work for posts.

But in my snippet (@the Posts @wordpress 4.2.2) the %%cf_fieldname%% isn’t shown! i only got the description on frontend. But in the backend in the snippet preview, it isnt shown! It only shows the plain variable “%%cf_fieldname%% instead of the custom field value!

It work in frontend on my web site but same problem in my snippet (WordPress 4.5 – ACF 5.3.7 / Yoast 3.2.3).

same here, snippet preview ain’t working … and I’m not sure whether it’s my setup … or a plugin in causing this ….

oh, boy i hope the next version will somehow fix this …
