Advanced Excerpt and Popularity Contest Issue

    Hi there,

    I am running a WPMU blog: https://craftgossip.com, with version 2.8.6.

    I understand that this is the main WP forum, but I believe the issue has got nothing to do with WPMU or WP itself (but please correct me if I am wrong).

    I recently upgraded Popularity Contest to 2.1b from 1.3b. Ever since I have done that, the text AKPC_IDS = “” has started appearing at the bottom of posts on the front page of the blog, for some posts.

    The front page of the blog uses the Advanced Excerpt plugin to show an excerpt of each post. Posts that haven’t been excerpted as the number of words within them are less than the excerpt length show these characters.

    Does anyone know why this is the case, and if there is a workaround or fix?

    For anyone who is interested, I solved it by rolling back Popularity Contest to version 1.2.1 (the one that I had already installed and working – I wrote 1.3b in the initial post, that should have been 1.2.1).
