Advanced-Excerpt plugin installation

  • Installed Advanced-excerpt – apparently successfully but can’t find options to complete step number 3 in the install routine –
    “Go to ‘Excerpt’ under the ‘Options’ tab and configure the plugin”

    No “Excerpt” option appears under the “Options” tab.

    Also, once this plugin is operational, will it allow me to limit the amount of text that is displayed across the bottom of the Featured Image Slider in the Spectrum theme?
