I can't figure a way to configure advance flat rate shipping for what we need

    at Muriellewinery.com

12 bottle deal of the day equals 1 case

6 bottle deal of the day equals half of 1 case

12 individual bottle equals 1 case

If 2 12 bottle deals of the day get purchased charge flat rate x 2

If 24 individuals bottles get purchased charge flat rate x 2

If any combination of the above bulleted items equals 2 cases, charge flat rate x 2

    or

    if it is easier

Any orders over 1 case, have the site direct the? customer? to contact Murielle directly and we can quote shipping charges............and accept a phone order

  • Hey there, @briandmg! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Do you mind clarifying your goal so we can better understand it?

    You mentioned that:
    12 individual bottles = 1 case
    6 individual bottles = half a case
    2 cases = 2xflat rate

Does this mean that what you want is (for example):

    1 case = $12
    half case = $6
    2 cases = $24?

What if the customer purchases a different amount, for example, 5 bottles, or 13 bottles? Is the shipping supposed to be the equivalent (for example, $5/$13)?
Or from 1 to 6 bottles it will be $6?

When we know more, we will be able to provide more guidance ??

In the meantime, you might want to check Table Rate Shipping. Which is an advanced shipping plugin. We provide support for this product and you have a 30 day money back guarantee to test it.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi, Thanks for the reply

currently if a customer buys any number of wine bottles there is a flat rate for shipping assigned per state that the wine is getting shipped to.

What we want to achieve is, if they buy any number of bottles totaling 24 ( two cases) the system will add the flat rate + another flat rate double the flat rate for their state). The hard part is that there is a deal of the day product that has 12 bottles and another deal of the day product that has 6 bottles. I don’t know how to write a formula that will charge a customer the flat rate per their state for any combination of wine bottles up to 23, then at reaching 24 to charge them double the flat rate. Any help you can give is much appreciated.

    Thanks, Brian

    Hey, @briandmg!

We will do our best to help you set this up with the default shipping, but you might need an advanced shipping plugin.

Can you please share some screenshots to help better understand how your shipping is currently set up? I recommend using https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    We need screenshots of:

    • WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping
    • WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Click on Edit on a Shipping Zone
    • WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Click on Edit on a Shipping Zone > Click on edit on each shipping method so we can check the specific settings

    Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you for reaching back, with further details on this @briandmg .

It sounds like the Table Rate Shipping plugin (linked here), that was recommended earlier on, would be a great fit for your needs.

Especially the example of how to apply multiple rules to the same shipping class (link here).

Keep in mind, if you want to try our products, you can leverage our 30-day refund policy. In a nutshell, it gives you 30 days to try it out, and if the product doesn’t work the way you need, or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to offer a full refund.?You’ll find the details of our refund policy here.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

    Hi,

Is there a simple way to do this?

Set a message to appear when order exceeds a case or 36lbs): Any orders over 1 case (weight exceeding 36lbs or 13 bottles), have the site direct the? customer? to contact Murielle directly and we can quote shipping charges…………and accept a phone order

Any help is appreciated. Thank you

    Hey, @briandmg!

Set a message to appear when order exceeds a case or 36lbs): Any orders over 1 case (weight exceeding 36lbs or 13 bottles), have the site direct the? customer? to contact Murielle directly and we can quote shipping charges…………and accept a phone order

While it is not possible to achieve this with the WooCommerce core plugin, if you don’t want to use a shipping plugin to set up the shipping, you can use custom code to show a message if the weight exceeds 36lb.

While we can’t provide support for code customization as per our support policy, we do our best to offer advice and direct you to appropriate resources.

You can visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there too.

Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!
