Advanced gallery is cut and hidden

    Hello,

    I started using Kadence Blocks Advanced Gallery just recently.
    One of the galleries on my blog post is cut – only 12 upper pixels
    of the whole gallery is visible, the rest is like hidden bellow
    text block that comes next.

    Problem is visible in every browser I have installed on my windows
    machine – firefox, opera, chrome; appearance of the problem varies
    but everywhere it seems clearly broken.

    I am using wordpress 5.2.4 and latest version of your plugin.
    I deleted the gallery once, created it again from scratch but
    the problem persists.

    I also use Advanced Gallery elsewhere on my site and it works as expected.

    Thanks for posting!
    It appears your images are pretty small: https://ogrodywodne.pl/wp/foto/zaskroniec_natrix_natrix.jpg

    And when I look at the output there is no size information coming with the image files. Because they are so small WordPress isn’t creating any other size versions which would add size meta to the file and it’s possible the file uploaded was missing that size meta in some way.

    Either way, when building a “masonry” image gallery it’s pretty critical that images have size information because that allows the masonry layout to load correctly even before the images are downloaded by the browser.

    So options:

    1. You can switch to a grid gallery, that will assign a ratio so that the sizes are not needed.

    2. You can re-upload your images (uploading larger would be better regardless because then you can support retina screens). Either reuploading or reuploading larger should get that correct size information into the image meta allowing our gallery to tell the browser how large the image is going to be on the page so the masonry layout can be correctly calculated.

    Hi,

    Thank you very much for help!
    It did the trick, gallery works as expected.

    I added decent size images to the gallery and it just works now.
    Frankly I was going to user bigger images from the beginning,
    just wanted to make the gallery work first ??

    Hello again,

    I have just run into the same problem again. This time I created
    new advanced gallery from scratch on different page, I used big,
    freshly uploaded images from the beginning, after two days I realised
    it sometimes works ok, sometimes not – the gallery is cut…
    What is wrong?

    Thanks for posting, Oddly the images are missing width and height. I’m pushing an update today that I hope to include some fallbacks then the images width and height data is missing.
