• Hi!!!
I have a headache with the URL redirections ??
I need some code snippet or some plugin for a massive redirection after change my permalinks structure on a website with more than 1000 posts…
I have previosly the %Category% %PostName% structure, and I change to a more short link with only Postname.
I’m seeing for a htaccess code for a redirection like this:

    Redirect 301 /category/* /postname

Something like this ?? I don’t think if something like this is possible ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    No ideas?
    Only manual redirections?
There are no wildcards for doing that?
    Ups!

There are several plugins that can do it, like this: it can (among others) automatically redirect old links to new ones when you change permalinks. You can also create custom redirects, individually or for bulk redirects following a regex pattern.

In the future, make it a habit to search the WordPress plugins database whenever you wonder if there’s a tool out there to do something — this will save you a lot of time and anguish.
