    Hi

I’m using WordPress (5.8.1) as an intranet on an air-gapped installation. The PublishPress Blocks plugin is on v 2.10.5.

I’m adding multiple content blocks to a tab. When the added content reaches a certain point and I then click on another tab (of Advanced Tabs), when I return to the tab in which I was adding content, the latest content is missing.

    Any ideas?

    Regards

    Hi @jkoekemr,
may we have the HTML from code editor to reproduce the scenario in our end? Please share it through Github Gist or similar.

    Thanks for the reply.
    See code here

I’ve redacted some of the plain text content.
I noticed that towards to bottom of the file the post starts to repeat, plus the last two paragraphs of the post are repeated multiple times (as I’ve attempted to add it back every time it got dropped by Advanced Tabs).

Thanks, @jkoekemr ! It seems in the bottom when you attempt to add new content (e.g. a paragraph), the editor insert a new tab block even when previewing changes in frontend doesn’t display a tab in this area.

Make sure you are inserting blocks different to tabs inside each tab.

    I also reviewed the code – it’s a mess!
Obviously there’s a bug somewhere causing ‘normal’ blocks to be coded as new tabs inside the existing tab.
    Your suggested remedy isn’t helpful, I’m afraid…

Please be respectful. We’re here to help.

We already included your report into our to-do list in order to disallow the insertion of nested Adv. Tabs blocks.

    Hi
To confirm: I never tried to insert nested tabs, only normal blocks inside Advanced Tabs. This worked up to a point, where after any additional normal blocks that I added somehow got coded by Advanced Tabs into additional tabs, in stead of the intended normal blocks inside the existing tab. This resulted in such content simply disappearing from the tab I was working on.

I’m aware you didn’t wanted to try to insert tabs inside tabs, however a restriction in code to disable this behavior very likely will avoid the scenario you reported in this topic.
