Advantages of V3.03 Events Calendar

A while back I rolled back to The Events Calendar vs 1.6.5 since I didn’t like the fact that the posts were now separated from the events calendar. Is that still the same?

They are still separate post types and will probably remain so for all forseeable future releases, but read on ?? …

I am also wondering whether I am missing out on some good stuff by not upgrading – now to 3.03.

You are! There is a fresh new look and feel and a very flexibile and powerful new templating system. Also, and this may be pertinent to your first question, we now have a setting to integrate events into the main blog loop.

The free version is, of course, free – so you could always take it for a spin in a testing site/locally and see if it works for you ??

Thanks Barry, I threw caution to the wind and updated on my Perth Morris site. The fact that you can integrate the event into the main blog loop solves the ptoblem that prevented me from upgrading in the first place – it is a pain to do the same thing twice but now you don’t have to. Cheers
