Advertising on my Blog

  • Someone obviously got into my WordPress pages and input advertising on every page; and almost every other word. underlined in blue. I have changed my password.

    I am scanning and have notified my host. What else do I need to do. Just last week; HostGator stated that I had full protection and was very secure.

    HELP how do I get rid of these links?????

    Okay, this appears in Chrome only. I changed the password and then logged in in MSN and the links are not there.

    What do I do? Please. Un-install Chrome and re-install as I use both but do not have to. This is strange but that is what it is.

    In Chrome, go to chrome://extensions/ and see if there are any extensions that you don’t remember installing.

    If there are any, delete them.

    Reboot your machine and check the extensions again. If it’s back in the list, despite you deleting it, your computer probably caught a virus and you’ll need a good virus scanner/remover to clean things up.
