Advice about adding a field of DISCOUNT TYPE

Why not adding a field of DISCOUNT TYPE on the tab of Discount Plus for every product ?
That will offer the option of percentage discount or flat discount for every product.
Then, the field of DISCOUNT TYPE in the Discount Plus Setting can be taken as the default value.
