Advice for site with 'long' title

I’m using v1.0.9 of the Free Poseidon theme; been very impressed so far.
This is for our photographic society in my local village. Problem is that the name of the society is quite long – Bishop’s Waltham Photographic Society.

Such that there is a lot of white space at the top of the page – and on phones/tablets etc – the wasted space is too much.

Wondering if the pro version would give me greater control? Or if I could only do this with a child theme?

Thoughts, pointers, etc are most welcome!
