    hey people!
i am new to wordpress and so i am seeking some advice on what to do with a dilema. i am usign wp for my design portfolio and i want to be able to show a bunch of thumbnails on my page. each thumbnail is a different article (client). when you click on the thumb it will take you to the single post of that article where it will display some images and maybe some flash depending on the work piece in addition to the text that i set up for each client job. so do i use a plug in for this? each post can contain multiple images…
i am confused on what to do!
here is my site so far:

    any help is appreciated!

This is the WordPress plug-in that I use to automate the image adding process https://redalt.com/downloads/ Look for the plug-in called Exhibit on this page.

What I’d suggest regarding the thumbnails is to insert at the top of each post the image you want to be the thumbnail (Exhibit automatically creates thumbnails) then put the wordpress <!–more–> quicktag with the rest of the page following that. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with that quicktag, but it basically will only show the contents of your post that come before the quicktag on your home page. If you click (more) or the post’s title it will of course bring you to the whole post. You can also remove the (more) link that the quicktag provides using CSS.

That’s how I would do it if I was using WordPress. However, I wouldn’t use WordPress for what you’re trying to do. Have you put any thought into using a CMS (content management system)?

It’s useless to show us your site so far when all it says is “back in a few..” : P
