I am looking for a WP plugin to help with an initiative to raise awareness on the security risks with Smart devices/IoT.
I would like to allow a community of security researchers enter their findings into the site and then I can publish these in a searchable catalogue for home/consumer users.
I’ve installed many plugins and yet to find one which allows us to tailor the input as such to meet our needs.
Any advice on the best approach on the recommended plugins would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Paul

]]>The front end (consumer view) would look like a shopping site, like Amazon’s shop by department view (with category images): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/site-directory/ref=nav_shopall_btn
The visitor could search and click through via category and see the associated vulnerable devices.
The page showing the vulnerable IoT device would have a number of custom fields to show various information about the risk.
The back end (researcher view) would be a form which they’d fill in and the team would review and publish it to the catalogue, once verified.
I’ve looked into Product catalogue plugins but they all seem very rigid.

]]>If you want to make it easier for the researchers you could also use a plugin like Gravity Forms, so the researches never sees the WordPress backend, but she/he will have a customized “backend” integrated with the frontend of the website.
