    Hi there,

    Appreciate any advice or assistance on the following:

    Problem statement
    As an open source voice assistance company, we want to store our documentation in GitHub in Markdown, and then import it into WordPress where it can be styled by Page Templates. We have the import piece working through WordPress GitHub Sync .

    The problem however is when we import the Markdown .md files into WordPress. We’ve tried several Plugins to achieve this, with mixed results. We are using the Salient Theme with Page Builder.

    Each of the Markdown Plugins results in a combination of one or more of:

    • Complex pages, such as WooCommerce, displaying elements as code, as the Markdown plugin converts one or more HTML opening tags into HTML encoded
    • PageBuilding layouts being totally messed up
    • Hyperlinks not working, as the Markdown plugin overrides one or more styling elements and/or embed codes

    The Plugins we have tried include

    * WP-Parsedown – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-parsedown/
    * Parsedown-WP – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/parsedown-wp/
    * WP-Markdown – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-markdown/
    * JP-Markdown – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/jetpack-markdown/

    Are there any others that people know of? Or, do we need to take a separate approach such as running Multisite, with one site for visually rich brochure-ware style content, and another site for Markdown-based documentation?
