    Hi!

I need to host several Woocommerce with the same specifications for a client.

All WooCommerce installations will use the same plugins and the same configuration but each of them will be a separate shop.

My question is: what would be the best way to host and maintain them?. Either do all the separate installations on the same hosting or create a WordPress multisite and add the new sites as they are needed.

All the WooCommerce we create will have an average of 300 products each and few visits per day.

Thanks in advance for the help.

    Daniel

  • Hello there,

That will depend on the client’s budget and needs. All options are valid.

The multi-site option will allow you to manage all from one place, and each site will run independently.

    Thanks for your help Igor!

I understand from your answer that in terms of performance, hosting several WooCommerce on the same hosting I will not see much difference if I do the installations separately or if I do them in a multisite.

    Is that correct?

    Hi @xaifu,

We’re not best placed here to confirm which option would have the best performance. This mainly depends on the hosting provider.

There are online free tools like GTmetrix that were specifically created to monitor overall website performance in terms of loading time and page speed. So you can test both options in a testing/staging environment and choose the one that has the best performance.

Hope this helps and I’m going to close the thread now. I recommend that you create a new topic if you have further questions on WooCommerce core.

    Thanks.
