Advice required on Associating Widgets with Posts

I am sure this has been asked before, but I cannot find a solution (yet)

What I want to do is have a series of ‘Notes’ or ‘mini posts’ that will show when a particular post is open.

For example, if the user went to a post on German Shepherd Dogs, in the sidebar a note would display the GSD owners club address and details. Also below this or in the other sidebar a mini post of ‘Did you know; type information about GSD’s would show.

some of the information I would want in the sidebar could apply to more than one type of dog so therefore either the widget would need to link to a list of post ID’s or a specific tag.

I would also like an ability to have a random element to it, for example, I may want to display a random selection of 3 ‘Did you know’ mini-posts from a selection of 10 or 20 for example.

I have seen several Plugins which look promising, but none seem to allow me to quite to do this.

I am not a programmer so would rather not have to go in and adapt code if possible as this would be dangerous.

Happy to accept any ideas even if it means multiple plugins to get it to work.
