    I want to communicate my experience with those of foliovision for the € 90 FV player purchased as a wordpress plugin. The player is nice and the control panel is also neat. The only thing they have not put, is a button to activate or deactivate, a simple function, the box now playing that is located under the player, from the control panel. Some may like it, some less. I don’t like it because I consider it superfluous, as the same function can be obtained from the control bar if you want to switch from one song to another. So I studied the control panel to see if I could take it off, but nothing. You don’t know how much this problem took away from me. So I sent them requests for clarification from the contact form on their site, once, twice, three times. Nothing, no answer. Then I started looking on their website for an email to contact them. I found the email and kindly wrote to them, at least twice, that I had this problem of removing now playing, which I was unable to remove. Nothing! no reply. Then I went to their forum and posted the request for help. After several days an answer arrives saying that if I wanted assistance I could take advantage of them by purchasing the assistance package at the price of another € 100 approximately. This story has lasted and has been going on for about two months. I can’t link their forum, but if you want you can go there, the topic is: “remove now playing”. Then they gave me, through the forum, indications on how to get what I was looking for. I went to copy the CSS that they suggested to me, taken from their documentation. Nothing, no results. I pointed this out, and as you can read if you go to see, I was unable to solve the problem. But now I got annoyed and I’m going to stop using their player, even if I paid € 95.

    In the meantime, I have seen that there are better, nicer, much cheaper ones, on envato or wordpress plugins. I was wrong to trust their product, to buy without having tried it thoroughly, this is true, also because there is a trial version that allows you to do numerous tests.

    I trusted the fact that a player that costs you € 90, for not having to deal with the code, had to have no problem. Because this is about it, or I copied the code of some player or I wrote it, or to not have the time or the desire to work on it, you buy it already beautiful and ready, 95 €. But once bought you don’t want to have any more problems, with code. And instead these here after making me pay € 95, they left me with nothing of what I wanted, except to go and pay another € 100 of support, where they wrote the new code to me. I must say that in the forum they were not able to help me, as the indications suggested did not have any effect. When I finally pointed out that this activation / deactivation function could be inserted directly from their control panel, they deleted the post. In short, I must say that it seems to me, that turns and turns, if you don’t pay him another 100 € of assistance, they make fun of you. They pretend they don’t understand. Their purpose is just that, to get you more money. So I strongly advise against buying this player.

    if you do not like the “Now playing” showing on top of the playlist thumbnails, you can just use the “2014” playlist design described here: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/creating-playlists#changing-playlist-designs

    The initial reply from Juraj came on the next day. It’s true that we offered our “Make FV Player work with your theme service” service as some people just want to get things done. But if you prefer to continue troubleshooting the issue and get hints from our support team, it’s fine too. We didn’t stop replying to you, we were still available for help.

    That was on February 24 and then your next reply arrived on March 6th. So it took you almost 2 weeks to reply, so where you say:

    …I don’t find it totally fair either. And now the last reply in that thread is waiting for 2 week for your answer. Rather than replying there, you go to www.ads-software.com and give us a 1-star rating.

    Hi Ratve,

    There’s a priority email given to our licensed users on purchase. I’m sorry you did not use that email address as your channel to communicate with us. We’ve had some issues with illness/quarantine this year which has led to some delays on answers to contact forms.

    Mixing up your messages across six different channels, while a very Italian thing to do, just makes it harder to keep track of your issue and provide you the help you want.

    Email support is included with the paid plugin. If your request requires us to do hands-on work to repair your theme or troubleshoot your hosting, we do accommodate such requests but it is additional paid support. If not, we’d have been doing free website development non-stop for the last seven years and gone out of business six years ago (it’s not sustainable).

    There may be Envato players out there but most other video players are either now-you-see-me, now-you-don’t-clones with limited support or now require you to use their (expensive) hosting (JWPlayer, Flowplayer, etc). FV Player Pro is the only full-featured WordPress video player in long term development which is platform agnostic. We’ve been working on FV Player Pro as our main project for seven years.

    I’m sorry you are dissatisfied with our player. As I can see you are using another player, we would be happy to refund you your license fee.
