Despite looking through many pages of confusing settings, mostly on their website rather than in the plugin’s settings, I still couldn’t find any way to completely deactivate all the advertising and tracking that are turned on by default. As others have noted, it’s big and slow and they keep making sneaky changes to it that you have to opt out of after an update — and the release notes don’t mention these changes.

The company makes money off of your traffic and says you’re making money too. Most people don’t claim that money because they don’t realize what’e going on. It’s also unclear how they calculate your payments. Because the formula isn’t published, there’s no way to tell how much of the revenue goes to you. But I imagine if you want to get advertising revenue, you’ll get a better percentage from someone who publishes their rates.
