• Hi,

Trying to activate remarking and I should have it all configured, still it does not show that tag in preview mode, even if Page view, product click etc shows. Can it be something in the theme or in the configs of the plugin I have wrong?

I have it whitelisted and AdWords remarking tags enabled… do I need to add any Google code manually to the pages anywhere?

    Best regards,
    Niklas

    Hi Charles,

I checked your website but I can see your remarketing tag to fire.
You may have found the solution for your issue?

    Thomas

Hi Thomas, thank you for your reply,

I still cannot get my remarketing campaign based on people who add a product to cart to work
I followed all the steps of your tutorial https://duracelltomi.com/google-tag-manager-for-wordpress/how-to-articles/setup-enhanced-ecommerce-tracking
and I can see the tag firing properly with the Tag assistant.
In Analytics I get the events data for gtm4wp.productClick & gtm4wp.addProductToCart

    But :
-I get an error message in the Adwords remarketing mark checker who says that “we have not detected personalized params for the commerce sector (Google Analytics)” // “not able to find ecomm_prodid”.

-I created audience in analytics based on the gtm4wp.addProductToCart event but I get no print in aw

I dont understand could you help me if you got an idea ?

    Thank you

    Hi Charles,

You will need to add custom dimensions to your Google Analytics tag for dynamic remarketing to work based on your Google Analytics data.

    Have you read this article?
    https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3455600?hl=en&ref_topic=3455490

This will give you some answers. It does not show you how to add those dimensions via Google Tag Manager but if you are familiar with custom dimensions through GTM it should be enough for you.

If this is too complicated for you, I would suggest to go with a simple AdWords Remarketing tag with custom variables.

    Cheers,
    Thomas
