I am not able to fix this behaviour, wonder if it is the theme or aesop.

Using aesop quote component (as below) shows the dark block behind the quote, but the quote text is ALWAYS whitish grey. Tried several colors, the background works, the text never. It is not even a transparency issue, as using colored backgrounds don’t affect the text color (no color tint). Why?

[aesop_quote type="block" background="#111111" text="#FFFFFF" width="content" align="center" size="null" quote="Temple situated at the top of the Perumukkal Hill. This temple which had originally in brick was converted onto stone temple during the period of Vikrama Chola (1183-1235 A.D)." parallax="off" direction="left"]

    Theme: Longform

Thanks Michael. I am running a local host. I will set up an online site (give me a week or so, I will return to share the link when ready).

The site is now ready and available for view. sirenatech.com

To fix the issue we located a quote CSS to make it white. And decided to live with just white.
WE would definitely want to use the component in its full feature – to be able to control the background as well as the text color.

I believe this should be ok on most themes. What version of ASE?

    ASE Version 1.6.3
    WordPress 4.2.2 running Longform theme.

I have the same issue with another site I updated to use Aesop. For “content” component I am able to use span or even state style definition inside a <p> or a heading tag. It works to control the color of font.

The same trick does not work for Quotes component.

Please tell a way I can really use these wonderful components as intended. What may be the issue?

Does this same thing happen regarding font color in the content and quote components when you use a different theme?
