    Hello!

How do I make sure your plugin finds our affiliate marketing-related cookies? I have two tags set up in google tag manager connected to affiliate marketing, one for conversion tracking and one for “set trackID”.

How it works is when someone clicks on an affiliate link to our website, the two cookies “trackID” and “source” are added to the user’s browser.

    1) Your plugin are not finding these however, so how do I make sure these are detected by your plugin?

    2) Also, I was wondering, is it possible to whitelist specific cookies, so to exclude them from ever being blocked regardless of consent?

    Any help is very appreciated!

    Best regards,
    Isa

    Hi @isabella92,

    1) If you visit your site with the URL from Pricerunner that contains the “UTM_” parameters (which causes those cookies to be created on your site), this will set the Cookies in your browser. After doing so, navigate to the back-end and run another Cookie Scan. This should be enough for them to get picked up.

However, since it only concerns two cookies created on your website, perhaps the easiest way would be to add them to Complianz manually.

    2) You can fire a script/tag on “functional” consent. That will cause it to always load, as functional consent is active by default.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    1) You were right, your plugin was now able to detect the two affiliate-cookies. Thank you!

    2) I see, thank you for explaining!

    Best regards,
    Isa
