Affiliate links in WordPress plugin directory

Hi,

Not sure where to ask this question, considered emailing the plugins email but didn’t want to spam them.

Is it OK for plugin developers to use affiliate links in the plugin description?

e.g. the ‘Gravity Forms Plugin’ link seen here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/gravity-forms-wysiwyg/
