In Europe, in almost all countries, it is not possible to use the plugin in the way the multi-vendor plugin is intended. We cannot withhold money from the seller, then VAT is mandatory and it varies from product to product, etc., then issuing PDF invoices which should be sequential,… In order for a European to use this plugin, the following is required:

    1. Only affiliate product or full store with catalog mode. Is there this option in the plugin? Or, is there a possibility to add these features to the plugin?

Meanwhile, can the plugin work with any of the catalog mode plugins?

    1. Billing from the vendor is possible immediately “in real time” through one of the membership plugins.

In this case, the earnings are from the membership (which itself is a digital product), not the product. I mean any membership plugin, in general. My question is: can the registration link be hidden so that only members (who have paid for membership) can register for the vendor. Or hide the entire page with the registration form.

I hope you get what I’m talking about.

    Thanks in advance. Regards,

    Hi there,

If you cannot withhold money from the seller, you may be able to use the plugin’s Stripe Split Pay module: https://woocommerce-multivendor.com/docs/marketking-stripe-connect-automatic-split-payments-refunds-3d-secure-2-stripe-integration/ – through this module, each vendor receives their money directly.

You can configure VAT and VAT classes – each vendor can choose the VAT class of each product.

I am not aware of any specific way to make each vendor’s invoices be sequential. It may be possible with custom coding.

By ‘catalog mode’ do you mean not allowing direct purchases, instead only allowing quote requests? You could achieve that through using MarketKing plus our B2BKing B2B plugin. For info on that integration, you can see: https://woocommerce-multivendor.com/docs/wholesale-b2b-b2bking-integration/

The plugin also has a feature where vendors can pay a subscription to be able to sell their products: https://woocommerce-multivendor.com/docs/vendor-membership-packages/

Regarding registration there are several options:

    – You could set up ‘manual approval’ to manually approve each application

    – You could allow vendors without a membership to be able to add 0 products, and only allow products once a membership is paid.

This is a sensitive matter that no European wants to experiment with. The penalties are too great for any missteps.

And yet, I see some potential. I’m glad the pro version fixes some issues. However, there should be a limit on the type of product (for vendors only), in the pro and free version, both. For example, enable only the affiliate product, disable everything else, or enable only the simple product, or any other combination.

Without a sequential number, everything is useless. Still unusable for Europe. That’s a huge market that you’re not currently covering. Issuing an invoice is an obligation for the parent shop and for the vendor. So, here we have a double invoicing. Sequential is must.

My wish is to try the free version first and only then switch to the pro version. So the specific questions for the free version still remain. Please give a specific answer:

    1. Catalog mode for WooCommerce? Yes, you got it right. Disable direct sales, enable only quote request. In this way we can avoid legal restrictions. But in a way that catalog mode is only enabled for MarketKing, not for all of WooCommerce. Are there snippets for this? If it were for the whole WooCommerce, then I can’t sell anything on my website either, neither products nor membership. Can you please add catalog feature to one of the following versions, pro and free, both. In a way that works with MarketKing only?
    2. Can any of the membership plugins be used in free version? This should be automated though. A vendor/members can sell and maintain their shop and products within a certain number of days. After that, the vendor needs to pay for the next period of membership. Is it enough to hide the registration and login pages (in free version)?

Without this, I can’t even think of running the free version on my website.

    Thanks in advance. Regards,

    Hi there,

Currently there’s no option for sequential invoicing. Thank you for your feedback and we will consider it for future updates,

Regarding catalog mode, even with the B2BKing plugin it’s not currently possible to have quotes only on vendors’ products – that feature would apply to all products.

You can easily make products unpurchasable with a code snippet, but that still doesn’t add ‘quote request’ functionality.

There is no membership feature in the free version as it’s a pro-only module.

Thanks. Everything is much clearer now.

However, there is still an unanswered question for the membership plugin. When I said any membership plugin, I meant exactly that. Not a membership add-on for MarketKing.

    Specifically, I use WP-Members (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-members/). I also use a few others.

Basically, I want to hide the MarketKing login and registration for vendors with the WP-Members plugin. So only members with renewed membership have the ability to edit their vendor store. That should be possible, right?

I see that plugin is able to hide pages. Therefore it should be able to also hide the login / registration page.

I’m not entirely sure whether it would have any issue with hiding the vendor dashboard, but my guess is it should be able to do it.

Thank you for your reply. It is now a more detailed study of features that has MarketKing and testing. However, adapt this to the European market if you do not add new features will still be very difficult and perhaps impossible. Thanks again.
