After 2.1 upgrade I have no editor

  • After the upgrade to 2.1 I have no editor at all, text or WYSIWYG. I do have a javascript error stating:

    line 68
    char 3
    error: ‘toolbar’ is null or not an object.

    Anyone else seeing this? Thanks in advance

  • What happens when you go to
    admin -> Users -> Your Profile
    and check the box at top left for visual rich editor?

    Just tried it and when unchecked I do get the text editor. I also still have the script error when unchecked. When checked I have no editor at all.

    Maybe a corrupted file in the tiny mce. Why not re-upload the wp-includes folder and see what happens. Won’t hurt anything.

    I tried to upload the 2.1 update two times and just tried the wp-includes for the third. Still no luck. Major bummer. Any other suggestions I might try? BTW thanks for the help.

    Just for grins, deactivate the Akismet plugin for a moment and see what happens.

    Plugin deactivated same problem. Does the script error point to any potential places to check?

    I am at version 2.3.1 and I still have this issue. Does anyone else?
