    Hi Mike,

Fast Secure contact form is my favorite plug-in for the job and I had it on tons of websites. Ever since WordPress 5.3.1 was installed it won’t send mail anymore. Furthermore, I’ve tried other contact forms and they also don’t work. Is this a common problem? What’s going on? I tried uninstalling FSCF and reinstalling it. Didn’t work. I’ve checked the spam folders, no mail in there.

It’s happened on many of the sites not limited to:
    sullivanlawchicago.com
    mariefleur.com
    retrofitstudio.net

I could give 10 more examples. Obviously I had to remove the contact forms from the sites so people wouldn’t try to email on them and my client receive no mail. Thanks for your help.

  • If your contact form does not send any email or keeps going to the “Spam” folder., then set the “Custom E-mail From:” setting to a real email address on the SAME domain as your web site, then test the form.
Many web hosts require that, See here:

I’ve tried that. Still doesn’t work. Is there some type of update WordPress needs to do? Did they do something to make it too secure or what?? Is everyone having this problem??

No, everyone is not having this problem. Sorry you are having trouble. Most of the time the cause is your web host having restrictions on mail to try to block spammers. I can help you figure it out, but please make a support request.

You are sing Google Apps mail with your domains

If you have configured your web site mail to go to Google Apps, make sure you have removed the mail accounts from your web panel at your web host. Failure to remove the mail accounts from your web panel at your web host will cause your form mail to go there and be stuck, you will NOT receive this mail at your Google Apps account. The reason the mail from the contact form will do this is because the form is part of your web site and it will first try to deliver to the mail address locally rather than using DNS to find your Google Apps address. But before you go deleting anything, contact your web host for specific instructions.
