    Hi,
AFter a few hundred or thousand lines the plugin no longer updates wp_blc_links. I have the log on and I see the UPDATE being run “successfully”, but the lines in the table remain blank.
So it just keeps looping on the same 30 links, over and over again. I carefully checked links.php but was unable to find the root cause.

I will disable the plugin until this is fixed to save resources.

    Good luck.

  • I don’t have high hopes about a fix, which is really unfortunate. This plugin was extremely useful while it worked.

Be patient with the developers. This is a free tool and a lot of work went into it: they will fix things eventually. The code is really well written.

During the night I had another idea on how to fix this plugin. I will give it a shot and report here.

I rolled back to version 1.10.9 on one of my sites. This was the last version by the original author (whiteshadow – Janis Elsts). It is working fine on WP 4.5.3 as far as I can tell. It updates wp_blc_links table, therefore saves progress so work queue becoming shorter every second.

The bug has definitely something to do with newer plugin versions.

That’s great info. I will try this as well. Thanks.

V 1.10.9 has been running fine for the last few hours. I compared code between this version and the current and there quite a few changes. I suspect the main change came with V 1.11.1 with the:
“Major performance improvement. Database queries reduced up to 10x in some cases.”
It could be worth checking 1.10.11 to see if it’s working as well.

I agree, 1.10.11 should work fine too, considered that there are mainly changes in the readme files, removed banners, ads, and support url. I don’t have the time to test though right now.

Most likely version 1.11.1 broke the plugin on 30th of March, and fix never came since. That’s about the time when I was searching through support forum after I updated and discovered it’s not working any more.

It turned out I have 1.10.11 installed on one of my DEV sites and it does work properly.

Yes: I also downgraded to 1.10.11 and all fine. It’s a pity this plugin has been abandnned.
