  • Try going to the gallery and click the Scan Folder for new images.

    Good luck.

    The gallery doesn′t show up among the other galleries.
    Is there a maximum number of galleries? I had 13, this would be the 14th.
    Through FTP i see that a new folder was created in wp-content/gallery, so far so good, but in the dashboard/gallery it has disappeared!

    @portugalia

    I doubt there’s a limit. I have 1,281 galleries and still going !

    Did you create the gallery via FTP ?

    Could be your problem. If you don’t use nggallery to create a gallery it won’t be part of the database. So it won’t exist.

    Good luck.

    No I didn′t create it via FTP, was just checking via FTP if the folder was created. I created the gallery on the dashboard, like I always do. Must be due to the fact that I upgrade to wordpress 3.5?

    Try the new beta. Seems to solve a bunch of problems lately :

    Thanks @doublesixx ??

    @portugalia – Could you let me know if when you go to Gallery >> Options > General Options, select ‘Activate Permalinks’ and save changes if that helps? You might also try changing your WP permalink settings under Settings >> Permalinks to postname.

    @portugalia – If activating permalinks does not resolve this issue for you, would you mind submitting a bug report here, and include your beta test results, along with temp. login information to your site? We’d like to take a closer look at what might be happening on your site.

    Thanks!

    Beta version installed, same problem.
    Activated permalinks in Gallery options and changed WP permalinks settings to Permalinks to postname.
    Nothing resolved, I’ll submit a bug report now…

    Hi,
    I had this problem today tooo after upgrade WordPress 3.5
    I put an old version 1.9.7 of Nextgen gallery over the new 1.9.10 installed Nextgen plugin by FTP and when I went to the backend of Nextgen Gallery its said update the plugin I did this and now it works again?
    What is the conclusion about this problem?
    Greetings A

    Sent a bug report yesterday, now waiting for action ??

    I’m using WP 3.5, updated NextGEN to 1.9.10 0n Atahualpa 3.6.4 and have the above problems and more. I’ve tried all steps above to resolve the issues but still have:
    1. Two new galleries that don’t show up in NextGEN but are present in the galleries folder on the server;
    2. I can upload pictures to existing galleries using the NextGEN upload function, but the new images do not show up in the list of images in the gallery. The images are present in the gallery folder on the server.
    3. I cannot change titles, descriptions etc for any of the images. It looks like it updates but nothing changes.
    The url is pyramidstables.com
    How would I go about rolling back to a previous version of NextGEN??
    I really need to get fixes made on this site.

    You can install over your existing version of nggallery.

    Good luck.

    Thanks, DoubleSixx!
    I backed up the database, then overwrote the existing version via ftp upload, then ‘updated’ the database as it directed me to do.
    Scanned folders for new images in galleries that I knew had uploads.
    Now it all works again!

    @researchandsuch Great ! Glad you have it all working again.
