After an upgrade from 1.2 to better, my skins stopped working..

    Hello,

    As I mentioned in another topic I made here, the search function doesn’t output absolutely anything, so I am sorry if this had been asked before.

    The most of my sites are skinned using this tutorial and it worked fine first with B2, then with Word Press 1.2. However, when I switched over to Word Press 1.5 on one and WordPress 2.0. on the other of those sites, I noticed that the skinning system doesn’t work at all.

    So, my basic question is:
    Is it a way I can make this old skinning system work or should I switch to themes (about which I am absolutely clueless, btw)?

  • Hmm. I would suggest using the themes in wordpress which would work a lot better and more convinient as there are theme switcher plugin for you to use ?? I do have a tutorial for making themes from your current layout with wordpress, but that is if your layout is coded in php and such.

    If you had 1.2 “styles” – you’ll find in the Codex a relatively simple guide how to convert them into “themes”, in the Upgrade section.
