    Hi Boris,
I setup the optin form right and looks and works fine on the website, I set it up to connect to a brand new mailchimp account, but once you enter your name and email, it sends you to the mailchimp online form (I entered in the form URL) to fill in the blanks again.. My visitors would have to enter their name and email twice to suscribe to my newsletter, is there a workaround to have my visitors go straight to a thank you page after filling their info? Thanks in advance..

  • Hi marioazapeda,

it sounds like your field names in MailChimp are re-named. Please follow these steps:

Let me know if that fixed the issue ??

    Hi Boris, good morning..
I followed your instructions, but it didn’t work.. Nevertheless, I went back to the Solution Email and clicked on the question mark next to the action form URL blank and found out through the tutorial, I had to take the url from the embed and naked buttons, and copying and pasting the url you indicated from the html text to the url blank, and now it works fine, I was using the general form url, not this one. Anyway, you’ve been of great help.. THank you very much.

    Hi Mario,

I’m glad you were able to fix it, and everything works like it should ??

I’m having this same exact issue, but I don’t understand what he’s referring to as the solution. When they click the “subscribe” button, it links to the mail chimp subscribe page, requiring people to enter the same info twice, instead of just instantly importing the new info to mail chimp. Help!

    Hey Boris,

    Great plugin first of all!

I’m having the exact same issue, as soon as you click on the confirm button, you get redirected to the optin page of mailchimp.

    I have done the following:

Taken the naked form code: //barbrothersgroningen.us4.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=df76ef8ca48fa511c0d93ee2b&id=323d940d24 and pasted it into the plugin field

Secondly: I have aded the code to the css just in case and because you mentioned it in the other trouble shooting post.

    #optinforms-form1-name-field,#optinforms-form1-email-field{height:35px!important;}

Thirdly I have checked my mailchimp fields:

For conversion reasons I only have an EMAIL field

    following code: *|EMAIL|* or *|MERGE0|*

so no name field. This might have something to do with the issue. Are there any stones which I’ve accidentily left unturned?

Anyways, thanks for taking your time. Appreciate the effort and hope to hear from you soon!

    Regards,

    Rich

    Hey Boris,

    I fixed it!

    Never mind!

    Thanks.

@nicole, make sure you copy your url from the naked form!

Try adding the overriding css in additio to that!

Thank you! I think the person who set it up for me originally was just using the shortlink instead of copying the html from the naked form. Working well now!

    Hey RichAndoh,

thanks for updating your question with an answer ?? I’m glad both nicole365 and you were able to fix this!
