Hi there, I updated to v.1.34 and now, after a visitor completes the Form, I no longer am notified/receive a copy of their response to my email … would appreciate an update or fix.

I have tried hitting the “resend notification email” button at the bottom of their submission and it says that the email was sent successfully, but I don’t receive anything.

I can see under the submissions tab that they successfully have filled it out, but I’d like it to resume sending me the automatic notification emails that someone has completed the form. Thanks!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @bettertogether2

I hope you are doing well today.

Could anwser to those questions so we could narrow down main issue:

    1. Can you check in your form email notification if the email is correct or if that email notification is set up?
    2. Can you check your spam folder?
    3. Does your SMTP settings are correct if you use any SMTP plugin?
    4. Can you please check if an error is being logged when using a different email? An Email log plugin like Email Log can help you with this -> https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/email-log/

Also, please export your form, upload it to Google Drive, and share it in your next reply so we can test it on our side.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

I have the same problem, even I don’t get emails anymore, the last one I got was about 1.5 months ago.

    HI Kris,

    Thanks for the reply!

    1. Can you check in your form email notification if the email is correct or if that email notification is set up? It is. Have been receiving the emails just fine for several months up until yesterday.
    2. Can you check your spam folder? Yes, no emails there.
    3. Does your SMTP settings are correct if you use any SMTP plugin? Yes, they should work. Again, haven’t had an issue with hundreds of submissions up until yesterday.
    4. Can you please check if an error is being logged when using a different email? An Email log plugin like?Email Log?can help you with this ->?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/email-log/ Haven’t used a different email. Only 1 login.

Any way I can privately message the Google Doc file to you?

    Thanks!

    Hi @bettertogether2

    Thanks, we received the form.

I’ve imported the form to my test site and checked it and:

    – the form itself seems to be configured fine, there’s nothing unusual in it
    – notifications are configured correctly
    – I could submit the form and submission got saved to DB
    – and I did get e-mail notification just fine, right away after submission with all the data submitted.

This would mean that this is more of a “local” issue, specific to the site or that it requires form to be filled-in in a certain/specific way (since it has a lot of conditionally visible fields).

With that being said, let’s clarify something first. Earlier my colleague asked if your SMTP settings are correct if you use any SMTP plugin.. You responded that they “should be correct” but to make sure – did you simply mean that so far e-mails worked or do you actually use SMTP plugin? If yes, what SMTP plugin are you using currently? If not, could you try setting it up and see if that changes anything?

Also, could you try installing this free plugin temporarily?

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/post-smtp/

Enabled it but don’t change any configuration (keep it as default, as is, don’t go through configuration wizard either). Instead:

    a) first, go to Post SMTP -> Dashboard page and use “Send a Test Email”
    b) if it works – try submitting the form once or twice and go to “post SMTP -> Email Log” page
    c) you should see the notification from form listed there so see if Status is “Successful” and if not, click on “Transcript” link and let us know what it says

    Kind regards,
    Adam
