After installation the plugin send an email to the wrong address. The plugin sends to info@ + domain-name of the site. We are not able to read those emails… That’s why we set a different email in de WP install, but the plugin is not using that address. How to confirm the install now?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

Please try visiting this page in your admin dashboard: https://www.reiki-ryoho.nl/wp-admin/admin.php?page=freemius

There, you’ll see account info connected to any plugins on your site that have used Freemius. If it’s just our plugin, you can delete the User, and that will allow you to re-send the email. It will be sent to the email address set in the General settings menu.

Note: please don’t post screenshots here since this menu contains Secret Keys as well.

    Hi Ben,

never knew that page existed… there are three plugins visible, not just yours.

Independent Analytics has a red background: not connected to an account. No way to delete just one line. Screenshot: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xuzgfph80hkr7ca9087no/Scherm-afbeelding-2024-06-27-om-17.29.48.png?rlkey=typ979e3o34ilemwv0onqhom8&dl=0

Further down on that page, there is a Users section. Do you see an option to delete the user there?

    Here’s what I think happened:

    • The site was using the old email address
    • Another plugin using Freemius was installed and used that email address
    • The email address was changed
    • Independent Analytics was installed and used the old email address found via Freemius

I think if you delete the user account, then Independent Analytics should ask you to opt-in again. I think you’ll also have to opt-in to ASE too, but it shouldn’t cause any issues. When you opt-in again, that will switch your account to the site’s new email address.

Below no such option. On top there was an option like ‘remove all accounts’ and that’s what I tried. No effect; I had to opt-in and enter my pro code for wpase, but still the strange status for your plugin. Also: in the admin menu the line of that says ‘Account’ is missing. I think this is my first time that I understand why some WP builders / developers refuse to install / buy plugins that work with freemius. I never understood why…

So whenever I would feel like buying the pro version, that would most probably be impossible. In installed your plugin on three of our sites now, and already an issue with one of them. I realise it’s not the plugin that’s causing this, but Freemius, but that’s the only way to install it.

Okay I’m sorry I’m not able to figure this out for you. I thought it would allow you to opt-in again if the account was deleted.

Without connecting an account, you will still be able to use all of the features in Independent Analytics. If you decide to upgrade to Pro, there won’t be any issues. After activating the Pro version, you’ll see an input to enter your license key, and this will associate the site with the email address used at checkout.
