    Sorry to hear that, this sounds like a caching issue. Please try to clear your cache locally (read how to do so here: https://www.refreshyourcache.com/en/home/).

    Thanks for the response.

    Didn’t think of doing this before recreating the site on a clean install (without installing this plugin).

    I’ve gone back to the original problematic install (without doing anything else) and the error is no longer displayed/I can get to the widget area. So perhaps it was a caching issue that cleared out with natural browser/system reboots in the interim.
