after iTheme security updates I am Locked out of my site

  • I set the settings to rename the login path from “wp-admin” to something else and updated the database prefix and now I am locked out of my site. I get a 404 message when I try to go to either the wp-admin or the new path. help!

  • Just a short update to let you know I’m still looking into the IP validation issue.

    I didn’t expect the script to return “Valid IPv4” … so that got me thinking.
    It does prove the manually entered IP is a valid IPv4. So there may be a problem with the IP string that is being collected by the iTSec plugin.

    So I’ve been writing/testing a new script. And that’s what is currently keeping me busy.

    I can’t make anything out of your other test results. Could be a caching issue.
    Note the plugin does not provide an undo option for the Change Database Table Prefix. Shortest route for undoing it is to restore a database backup.

    Once I’m confident the new script runs ok, I’ll share it with you.
