I started a thread a while ago, but due to time limits it got automatically tagged as resolved. It will try again in this new post.

I have ROP setup now to share twice a day to my FB page.

The posts that are being shared have “FLASHBACK” label before the title.

The FLASHBACK labeled posts are sharing twice a day.

But also twice a day there are posts being shared to my FB page without the FLASHBACK label.

On FB all these posts are tagged (when I am logged into my FB page) with: Published by Revive Social

So 4 times a day ROP posts are shared to FB, yet on my SHARING LOGS: I see only 2 to FB. As should be.

Now I have stated before that this all started when we moved our WP to another hosting.

So my guess is that is has to do with that, the the old sharing cue never has been stopped and just goes on forever, and I have no way of knowing where the stop button is for that old cue.

Can someone please guide me how to get this fixed?

    Hi @photocoen,

Thank you for using ROP and for explaining the issue you are currently facing.

I’ve tried to replicate it, but I’m not able to. Since I configured an Additional Text to appear at the Beginning of Caption it works properly for all the posts ROP is sharing on my Facebook page and group.

To clear the sharing queue in the free version of the plugin, you need to temporarily stop the sharing, disconnect your accounts from the ROP Dashboard and connect them again.

    I hope this will help.

    Hmm.

    Thank you for replying…

I understand you trying to replicate it and it just works.

As I think this will have a very different cause.

Currently I have stopped sharing [since Februari 13th], and yet, somehow magically my FB page is posted twice every day by Revive Social.

I have screenshots if you like…

    Hey @photocoen,

    Thank you for your cooperation!

Can you please share the screenshots so we can have a closer look?

    Hi @photocoen,

Thank you for the update and the screenshots.

I can see in the screenshots that the sharing is currently turned off, and the last shared post was on March 2.

Did you try to remove the Facebook account from the ROP Dashboard, then add it back (to refresh the authorization token) and start sharing again?

Does the issue persist on the newly shared posts after following the above steps? If the problem persists after following the above steps, could you please enable the debug mode of ROP (https://docs.revive.social/article/1476-how-to-enable-the-debug-mode-in-revive-old-posts) and provide another screenshot with the sharing logs?

    Best regards,

    Andreea

    Hello Andreea,

I could try and enable debug mode, but I see absolutely no point in that. As when the sharing is on, this actually works as normal.

But if you will read carefully in my problem description, I suspect something ‘old’ is still lingering in the system from when I changed hosting provider.

To eliminate problems, I now deactivated the ROP plugin, and I want to see if posting to my FB page is still occurring after that.

So lets see in a few days and take it from there?

    Okay?

yes, so… After deactivating the ROP plugin, there are still posts on my FB page by: Published by?Revive Social

    Mindboggeling!

So can someone please take me seriously and read the fist post about when I moved to a new hosting provider and it all started from there.

I think some old cron job still is lingering somewhere.

Where can I see those cronjobs, and delete old stuff?

    Adventurous greetings, Coen.

    Hi @photocoen,

You can see/edit the cron jobs by installing the WP Crontrol plugin. You can also get in touch with your hosting provider and see if they have more insights regarding this issue.

    Best regards,

    Irinel
