I just moved a WP site (according to the codex instructions).
It used to be set with static homepage that was showing one of the pages.

After the move the homepage shows just the latest post, and there is no way you can see the static page.

I tried re-saving “Front page displays” in Settings>Reading but whatever i choose there it always shows the same post on the homepage. This option just doesn’t work anymore.

    Any ideas?

Have you tried re-saving your permalink structure? To do this navigation to Settings -> Permalinks and click save. This will update your .htaccess file and make sure that your permalinks are being routed correctly.

A link to your site would be most helpful.

    A few thoughts:

Did you use a plugin to make a post into a page (on old host)?

Does your theme have a setting that overrides the admin panel setting?

    ok the site is https://kawasaki-z750.com/

and no to both your questions, don’t have plug-in for that, neither the theme overrides settings ??

Try deleting the .htaccess file (after backing it up) and saving your permalinks again. Also, does changing the home page to another page allow it to display correctly?

Thanks but that didn’t help as well

It basicaly uses the homepage for blog, showing the last posts
and it should show a static page there

Do this: Go to pages and do a quick edit of each page, and review the parent and page order of each page. I think what you are experiencing is that you have multiple pages with the same page order or a calling a template that is not found, etc.

all the pages are with no parent and order 0

But i guess the order is if i have them all placed in menu or something and i haven’t

Is your desired home page listed in pages?

If so, what is the post id??

To check that hover over the page title and look at the status bar at the bottom of the page.

    the ID is 5

No matter what post id is used https://kawasaki-z750.com/?p=# , the same page is displayed…

Try turning off permalinks to see if a plugin or your theme is not working well with them.

    Yes you are right
I switched them to default, but it still behaves exactly the same

except with default pages like contact us and privacy policy go 404
