    Hey everyone,

Just set up a new WP installation on an Amazon EC2 instance. Followed the directions here and it seems that I’ve successfully changed the home page, as it loads without /wordpress at the end of the URL. However, when I try to navigate to any other part of the site, I get an error, stating the page is not found on the server.

    Installation is at this address.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  • Did you move an existing site to WordPress? Do you have the permalink structure the right way to reflect the urls?

No, this is a new site that I just setup by making a new stack in Amazon Cloudformation and installing WP using the sample Amazon RDS WordPress template.

The only change I have made to the permalink structure is in the admin login settings tab, where I changed it to Day and Name. I added the code at the bottom of that page to the .htaccess file in the root directory.

Just figured it out that I needed to enable mod_rewrite in the Apache configuration file via FTP, then restarted the Apache server, and now it seems to be working. I did that using the instructions HERE.

    Thanks for your help!

Glad you got it, and apologize for not being able to add more but two clients decided they didn’t want to pay so it was a challenging day. ??
