After one minute I got locked out!

After many hours of not being on my site in dev I clicked on a few images and then got this:

Your access to this site has been limited

Your access to this service has been temporarily limited. Please try again in a few minutes. (HTTP response code 503)

Reason: Exceeded the maximum global requests per minute for crawlers or humans.

I tried after a few minutes but no change, still locked out. No admin access. I’ve not touched these settings for over a week so it’s not something I changed recently.

Didn’t have this problem before, what changed? So now what? Do I have to delete the plugin using FTP?

Kinda sucks.
