As soon as i activate the plugin the whole wordpress crashes and I am not able to even open the dashboard. Only after I manually rename the plugin name in the directory, I am able to get to the dashboard

What version of WordPress are you running? Also, what plugins are active?

I forgot to ask what version of PHP are you running? That is more likely the culprit.

The only plugin I am using along with hey notify is Paid Memberships pro.

I’m sorry that it took so long to reply. I was out on vacation. Taking a look at this now…

I have attempted to set up a similar environment to yours running PHP v7.4.x and only having Paid Memberships Pro and Hey Notify installed, but am unable to duplicate your issue.

The next thing I would suggest trying is turning on WP_DEBUG to see if it will log the error. You can install and activate the following plugin to easily turn it on. Deactivating the plugin will turn it back off.

@abdullah8006 i get the same error – with the same plugins. did you get a solution?

I am so sorry for the issue you’re having.

So far, I have been unable to duplicate this issue with those plugins. Where are you hosting your site?

at the moment i’m testing the page on my own raspberry. tonight i will do the debugmode and keep you posted.

I have tested the following environments without any errors.

    • PHP Version: 5.6.39, Web Server: nginx
    • PHP Version: 5.6.39, Web Server: Apache
    • PHP Version: 7.2, Web Server: nginx
    • PHP Version: 7.3.5, Web Server: nginx
    • PHP Version: 7.3.5, Web Server: Apache
    • PHP Version: 7.4, Web Server: nginx
    • PHP Version: 7.4.1, Web Server: nginx
    • PHP Version: 7.4.1, Web Server: Apache
    • PHP Version: 8.0.0, Web Server: nginx
    • PHP Version: 8.0.0, Web Server: Apache

i’m running php7.4.15 on apache – it is working without paid membership and with a brand new paid membership – so it seems to be something with the paid membership settings. i’ll start try and error.
