    Hi Shea,

Thank you so much for this useful plugin.

I think a made a mistake a couple of weeks ago by manually deleting the custom functions.php your plugin created, and then the plugin itself. Now, after reactivating it, there is no new custom functions.php created.

    What can I do?

    Thanks a lot

That’s sounds really annoying. Can you check if the wp-content/plugins/functions.php file still exists? If it does, you’ll need to delete it as Functionality won’t create a new one if it already exists.

Secondly, check that your filesystem permissions allows PHP write access. The easiest way to do this would probably be to try installing or upgrade a plugin with the WordPress plugin installer.

Unfortunately, Functionality doesn’t use the best possible method for filesystem access, but hopefully checking these two things should fix the issue.

    Hi Shea,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

With your hint, I managed to get it done. There was no functions.php file. So I downloaded the similar one from my other site, edited it and uploaded it. From there, your plugin picked it up and manages it.

    Have a nice weekend

I’m glad that you could get it working! It’s strange that the plugin wasn’t working as expected though; I’ll need to take a look at that.
