After doing a restore with Updraft my site works great.

However, when I go into the wp-admin I get nagged to do a database upgrade.

If I do the database upgrade all my data for my GEO-DIRECTORY plugin and ALL-IN-ONE-EVENT-CALENDAR completely disappear.

Here’s the output from the Database Update

WordPress database error: [Table 'db569900250.yRRvJcqHcategories' doesn't exist]
SELECT * FROM yRRvJcqHcategories ORDER BY cat_ID

WordPress database error: [Table 'db569900250.yRRvJcqHpost2cat' doesn't exist]
    SELECT post_id, category_id FROM yRRvJcqHpost2cat GROUP BY post_id, category_id

WordPress database error: [Table 'db569900250.yRRvJcqHlinkcategories' doesn't exist]
    SELECT cat_id, cat_name FROM yRRvJcqHlinkcategories

WordPress database error: [Unknown column 'link_category' in 'field list']
    SELECT link_id, link_category FROM yRRvJcqHlinks

    Update Complete

Your WordPress database has been successfully updated!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    I managed to fix it!

As you can see, the value in the options table for db_version was null.

I set it to 30133 and the “upgrade the database” error message in wp-admin finally went away.

Thanks for steering me in the right direction David!

    Hi,

Great – well done. Yes; for some reason, on the site when your backup was taken, that field in the database was empty. So, when it gets restored, WP thinks an update is needed; though it seems it really isn’t, and that tweaking the field gets things right again.

    Best wishes,
    David

Just wanted to say: I’ve spent probably 5 hours trying to figure out this exact issue, however I thought it was related to the forced security update. Of a dozen wordpress sites I manage, this was the only site that showed this error and is also hosted by 1and1.

SOOOOO relieved to finally fix this issue. Client just launched their site and this happened before the remaining balance was paid.. so I’m eating the cost in my time.. hard to explain to them why this happened… I don’t have the actual answer, only what fixed it.

Just seeing the topic now. Answer is that you used Click & Build and in a small period of time there was a mistake created by me in it. We thought we fixed it all but a few sites slipped through. Sorry about all the troubles you had.
