Thank you in advance for any help here. Site was compromised and have taken the steps to secure the site and account. I ran the WF scan and fixed all the issues with fiels and deleted all others. The site runs fine. Nothing seems wrong at all. However, when I try and run a scan now it stops and won’t complete. The site is on Siteground and they said they checked it and there are no conflicts with the server. I’ve done the basic troubleshooting like disabling all the other plugins and so on. Throughts?

    Hi @frankmatt2018,

Does the scan fail to complete because it is running out of time?

Can I get you to check Wordfence -> Scan -> Scan Options and Scheduling:

Under Performance Options, please let me know the three values…

    1. Time limit that a scan can run in seconds
    2. How much memory should Wordfence request when scanning
    3. Maximum execution time for each scan stage

    Hello Dave,
    1. empty
    2.256
    3. 0

Here is the warning I get.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/19NRBbbZ3Dyn-wEWJyPg91bQR51-tCYq0/view?usp=drivesdk
and I sent the wordfence activity log to the email in it.

OK, since you sent me there I read that “0 for default. Must be greater than 7 and 10-20 or higher is recommended for most servers” and changed it to 10 and it worked.

    Hi @frankmatt2018,

So sorry for the long response! ??

I’m glad you were able to solve it! I’ll remember that for next time if someone has the default set, and I will tell them to change it to a low value instead.

    Thanks!
