    Hello,

I am using WP 4.5.3, WC 2.6.4 and the latest WPML and Woocommerce Multilingual 3.8.6 on one of my ecommerces https://rabbitrabbit.pl

When I update Woocommerce Multilingual to the release 3.9, the Polish version of the website changes its prices automatically: even though all the prices for all the products in all the currencies are set manually, the Polish version of the website applies some random discounts to several products. I have checked those products one by one and in the backend the prices are just fine, but they are shown as discounted.

I have downgraded to the 3.8.6 to avoid this issues. Please consider this case for your future development of this great plugin. Thank you.

  • Can you give us more information on how to reproduce the issue?
Is the issue happening on certain currency?
Anything specific for configuring the currency?
Are you using exchange rate or manually set prices – from what I can see you have manually set the prices, but I need to be sure about that.

    Hello,

you can’t reproduce the issue on my website now – I have downgraded because the website is up and running customers, so I can’t keep it broken – but I can provide you with all the details.

The issue happens every time I upgrade Woocommerce Multilingual (I tried several times) and it involves the prices set on the primary ecommerce currency: the Polish Zloty. Prices in Euro for the same products, which is the second currency, are safe.

What happens exactly is that some random products not on sale seems to be on sale when you visit it from the Polish layer of the website. I say “some random products” because these products have nothing in common: categories, product images, descriptions, they’re all different but some of them show this discount. The bigger problem is that these products, in the backend, are fine and shows no discount in any currency and/or language.

In a nutshell, I couldn’t find any evidence or trace of what could be wrong.

I hope you can use this feedback to improve your development ??
    Have a great day!

    This is very strange issue.
Having a product “randomly” having a discount, usually means that the product has a “sale price” specified.
Is it possible that somehow your product has a sale price specified in the second language and not in the first?

I would like to debug this issue more in-depth. It is always recommended due to privacy issues and the inability here to share temporary credentials securely, that you open a new ticket in our support forum at wpml.org – so that we can better investigate the issue because I cannot reproduce it on a new instance on my local machine.

None of the products afflicted had any sales price on any currency and/or translation: the website is about a brand new fashion collection so there are no sales.

I will open a ticket on WPML too, so we can all benefit from it.

    Thank you very much!

I will mark this ticket as resolved since there is nothing more to do right now here.
If you have already escalated the issue to our wpml.org forum, please provide a link here so that other people can follow.
