After update: can't get off your admin page

Hi Pam.

Are you using WPEngine as your hosting provider? We use it and we encountered this very same issue before.

Apparently, that’s a problem with the Object/Transient Cache. If you’re on WPEngine, just go to the Dashboard ? WP Engine ? General Settings, and click on a button name Purge All Caches to fix it.

If you’re using a different hosting provider, my guess is that you’re facing the same issue. Whether you’ve seen the update page or not is stored in the database, and sometimes caches return an old value (the one that says “you haven’t seen the update page, even though you have”).

Can you please check it and let me know if that’s the issue?

Unfortunately, I didn’t get any email notification from WP.org of your first response, but I got an email today. We ended up disabling and deleting the plugin.

Yes, we are on WPEngine.

As a test, I just re-installed the plugin, and I was able to navigate around, and our old data was still there.
