    Hello,

    Problem contact form:
    https://www.sdprecision.co.za/contact/
WPForms Lite: 1.3.7.2 (updated yesterday which is when my problem began)
    WordPress: 4.7.4
Firefox: 53.0 on Windows (latest version)
    Internet Explorer: version 11.0

Since I updated WPForms yesterday, I have a few problems:

    PROBLEM #1
Firefox: When I click “send email” nothing happens any more. Before I did the update when I clicked this button I’d get a confirmation message “We will be in touch shortly” and the message would be sent.

    PROBLEM #2
Internet Explorer: When I click “send email” I get the message “This is a required field” even though I have completed all fields and I’ve verified the captcha.

Please help! Is it possible to roll back to the previous version of WPForms?? If so, please can you put the link to the previous stable version in your reply and instructions on how I go about doing this.

    Thanks in advance,
    Michelle

  • Hi Michelle,

I’m sorry for the frustration and we’d be happy to help!

It looks like your caching plugin is stripping a critical variable from our forms code on this page, and that’s what’s preventing the form from working properly. If you’re curious, you can check out this version of your page where the cache is turned off: https://www.sdprecision.co.za/contact/?nocache=true. On this uncached version of the page, I was able to submit the form in Firefox without issue.

I can’t say that I’ve ever seen a caching plugin do this before, and if you’d like to continue using it I would suggest contacting the plugin developer to share what’s happening here. The fastest fix, though, will be to deactivate that plugin for now.

I hope this helps! Could you give this a shot and let us know how it goes or if you have any other questions?

    Thanks! ??

Thanks very much Jess, I’m using WP Fastest Cache. I have excluded the contact page and everything is working again as it should.
