• This plugin, while having decent functionality, desperately needs an update to improve performance and fix bugs.

    Performance

    • AddThis JavaScript is loaded on every page
    • AddThis CSS is loaded on every page

Basically, it needs an option to only load AddThis on pages where it is needed.

    Improvements

    • Stop inserting empty AddThis elements above and below the content if it’s not actually placed there. This only adds useless clutter to the page’s HTML.

    Additions

    • Ability to use custom CSS for AddThis buttons without overwriting the existing rules with !important

    Bugs:

    • Settings panel breaks the Query Monitor plugin
    • Settings panel prints PHP notices in debug.log (HP Notice: Undefined variable: input in C:\wamp64\www\creepypasta\wp-content\plugins\addthis\backend\AddThisFeature.php on line 652)
