PS. I checked for the id=## in the heading and all the old ID=## events can be forced into the edit page. So where is everything.

I deleted the 7.0 version and downloaded and installed the 6.9. Everything works fine. So it is definitely the 7.0 version

I cannot reproduce this problem in one of my installations, so please help to find out what this problem is related on.

First summing up your explanations (please correct me if I’m wrong):

    • only 1 event is shown independent of date and cat filter selection
    • the problem is related to both – back and front end
    • it is only a display problem, e.g. if you change the category filter to another category than the displayed event then another event is shown

Afterwards I have some initial question to locate the problem:

    • Which PHP-Version do you use?
    • Which Theme do you use?
    • Can you please check the html source if also in the source the other events are missing or if it is only a display problem?
    • Please check your php logs or enable wordpress debug mode. Can you find any warning or errors which can be related to this problem?

It would be great if all of you can answer these questions to help me detecting where this issue is coming from.

    Thanks in advance.

You can download old versions here:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/event-list/.

But before you downgrade please answer the questions above to help me to identify and fix the problem.

    Hi Michael:

I used this video to turn on WP Debug. I did not get any bug/error notifications at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9J8HWquri0

    WordPress 4.1 running Divi theme.
    Running PHP version: 5.4.22

After deleting Event List 7.0 and installing 6.9, I’m still getting the same issue (event list will not display, I can view categories and see the # of entries therein, but I cannot ever see the events themselves).

Any insight? I really, really, love your plugin and have previously had great success with it.

    Thank you

I still have no idea what’s the problem.
I have released a new version today. There were some small problems which should be solved in this version.
Please try if it also solves your problems. I don’t think so, but probably it helps. If you still have problems I ask all of you to please answer the questions above and give a more detailed problem description. This will hopefully help me to find and fix the problem.

    Hi Michael:

Thanks for releasing 7.1. Unfortunately, the problem isn’t solved and it’s still exactly as described above. For reference, you can view it here: https://tinyurl.com/ndp2hmg. A short events listing used to appear on the homepage, and I’ve also removed the code from the dedicated events page temporarily. When I do have the code/widget there, those entire page will not load/display. and I get a white screen (with top nav bar menu displaying).

Additionally, I still cannot view the events listing within the wordpresss backend, but can see the categories.

    ??

    Hi again:

Any ideas what the issue can be? I still cannot view my events list (on the back end), and if I have the shortcode displayed on a live page, that page displays as a blank, white page.

    Thank you!

    No sorry, still no idea.

But can you describe “blank, white page” in detail:
Can you see the rest of your page or do you get a completely white page?
If the second one is the case there must be a php error. Do you have access to your log error log files?

    Hi Michael:

After updating your plugin on another client website, it, too, experienced the same issue. Blank white website on pages where the shortcode had previously appeared.

Unfortunately, I’ve had to move on to another plugin as my clients cannot have downtime on their sites. I wish you great luck in solving this mystery!

Check out anderson.umcsc.org. The “Upcoming Events” widget is blank.

Also, check out https://anderson.umcsc.org/events/. The error seems to be overriding the footer and cutting off most of the page without showing any events.

Thanks for your help. These errors seemed to appear when we upgraded to WordPress 4.1.

    @jadtaylor:
Your error description looks like a php error. Because after the error the script is stopped and so also no footer will be displayed.
Do you have access to your php log files? It would be a great help if you can provide the error messages listed there.

After the latest update, the CSS is not working correctly. A bulleted list looks strange. Is there a typical fix?
