    Hello,

    sorry for my bad english.

I have since the update on the version 1.12.34 the problem, that I am a JavaScript or jQuery error and no backups are possible. Until the update everything worked perfectly. I have not updated or installed any other plugin since the update. Also, I have not changed anything on the blog. The deactivation of the other plugins also led to no success. Can I go back to version 1.12.32 and if so, where can I download it?

    Many thanks

  • Exactly the same problem, using Safari, on 2 different Macbooks. But UD works fine on Firefox on same computers, and also works fine on iOS 10 iPhone 5 Safari.

Using the Developer Console in Safari I get this:

    SyntaxError: Unexpected token ‘=’. Expected a ‘)’ or a ‘,’ after a parameter declaration.

    Hi,

Can you attach screenshots of the developer console? or any other errors displayed on the page, and If you are able to start a backup can you attach a copy of the backup log.

The contents of the log will be to long to post here but you can use a service like pastebin and share the link here.

I just tested UpdraftPlus in Safari Version 10.0.3 (12602.4.8) and I don’t have any errors in the console same goes for FireFox version 51.0.1 (64-bit)

As well as the screenshots can you provide your browser version numbers

    Best Wishes,

    Hi,

Can one of you give the information from the developer console showing the file and line number of the problem?

@timerewinder Can you tell us what is in your developer console, and confirm your browser? ( https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-open-my-browsers-developer-tools/ ).

    David

I am using Safari 9.1.3 on Mavericks. I have elected not to update the OS anymore, on this machine, if that could be part of the problem. But this is the only problem I am having with this computer right now.

This is not a train smash as I am just using Firefox for my site admin now. But here is a screenshot:

Hello, thanks for the reply. I know with the developer console not so good. Is that what you mean? Script5009: “updraft_backup_dialog_open is undefined File: options-general.php, line 297, column 111. I use Internet Explorer 11.0.38 under Windows 10, but i have the same Problem unter Mozilla Firefox. Thanks

    Hi,

@sean-h we have pushed a fix that should resolve your issue, the version number hasn’t changed so it won’t show as an update, you would need to download a new copy of UpdraftPlus from WordPress.

This won’t affect your UpdraftPlus settings as they are stored in the database.

Great. It works again. Many Thanks

    Hi Ashley,

Yes, it did indeed fix the problem, thank you. Wordfence has flagged the changes, and I can see them on line 440, but I guess that should be sorted with the next major update?

It is interesting how different browsers are affected differently by such things, and how others just don’t notice.

    Hello Ashley,

have the same problem with Internet Explorer. The problem appears as soon as I update to the 1.12.34 version… Restored from backup to 1.12.32 again.

How can I update to fixed version?

    Thank you very much

    Hi Alex,

Can you try and download a new copy of UpdraftPlus from the WordPress website?

The version number will still be 1.12.34 but it has a fix that should address the above issues?

Please let me know if this resolves your issue if not could you provide any errors you are seeing via a screenshot or similar and post here so that we can track down the issue thanks.

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley
