After Update: plugins not displayed anymore

PS: I first noticed the plugins “Smart Slider 3” and “WP Testimonials with rotator” not showing anymore; maybe others were affected as well.
the update of the theme was made through the WP backend, returning to version 1.4 va ftp.

Which is something you will have to contact them.

This is a big change from 1.4 to 1.5 which makes the theme speeder.

Hard to tell exactly what was happening since you reverted to 1.4, but jQuery was removed by default in 2.0.

Plugins that use scripts that require jQuery should load it from within their script calls using wp_enqueue_script().
