  • Hi.. as suggested, I deactivated all plug-ins and reactivated them one by one. For me the problem seemed to be with a plugin called MP3 Playlist Lite. I have deleted the plugin and everything seems fine now. Please treat this as resolved for me at least.

Thanks a lot for your help !

    Regards.

Not sure if I’m in the ight place.

I just downloaded Jetpack to my wordpress 3.5 site. On the mobile version it displays a scattering of 40 or 50 Capital (uppercase) As with an accent on top of each A (looks like a Spanish accent)in between most of the words on each page. On my laptop, these As are not there, only on my phone.

Does anyone know what this is, and how to resolve it.

    Thanks in advance.

@cairnsda @pconnors @dj Smith Could you try to deactivate all plugins one by one, to make sure there are no conflicts with another plugin?

I would also recommend that you check the following thread for common issues with WordPress 3.5:

@dbwilldo Did it start happening when you upgraded to WordPress 3.5? If so, could you try the steps I posted above?
If not, could you start your own thread?

@king Coal See my reply here:

I had something similar happen to me too. I installed the WP update – did the Jetpack plugin update and it simply disappeared from my left sidebar. no error – its just totally gone

edit – I just deleted it and reinstalled – now getting this error:

The plugin sharepress/sharepress.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.

Could you update to the latest version of Jetpack? it should fix the issue. See this thread for more info.

    THANKS

    To everyone whom this concerns;
Just an FYI, I turned off all the plugins: no luck.
I backed up critical data, Blew the whole site out (deleted), uploaded WP 3.5 fresh, replaced wp-config and .htaccess, and installed Jetpack 2.0.3 alone: Link disappeared from menu.
Updated to 2.0.4 when I saw that it was released: Fixed the menu, 403’d my site.
I am convinced that this is now a problem with the host, BIZ.NF, as this is for free hosting (using as temporary proof of concept for customer). All my other sites, including my personal one, are at WP 3.5 and JP 2.0.4 and working FINE.
Thank you Jeremy for all the fine work, keep it up, and consider my issue as resolved as it will ever be.

P.S. Still loving me some Jetpack

@cairnsda I’ve come to the same conclusion but didn’t wana accept it (doubting myself lol) until you’ve confiremed it.

    biz.nf free hosting + Jetpack = ERROR
